Dr. Ewa Siwak selected for ACLS Summer Institute

Dr. Ewa Siwak, Professor of Instruction in German, has been selected by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), in partnership with the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia (CAS), to participate in the 2026 Summer Institute for the Study of East Central and Southeastern Europe. 14 scholars from Eastern Europe and North America will participate in a two-week residency hosted by the American University in Bulgaria. Dr. Siwak will be working on her current digital humanities project "Imperial Knowledge Contra National Scholarship: Galicia and “The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in Word and Image.”
