Getting Started

To prepare for submitting the Fulbright Declaration of Interest form, please follow the steps below. Please contact Dr. Lisa Haegele, TXST Undergraduate Fulbright Program Adviser, for any questions.

Note: This form is intended only for TXST undergraduate students and undergraduate alumni. Interested graduate students and graduate alumni should contact the external funding coordinators in the Graduate College or complete the graduate-level Declaration of Interest Form.

Step 1: Confirm your eligibility

Step 2: Select an award type

Research award types: watch award tutorials and use the Fulbright search tool
Choose an award type (Study/Research or ETA)

Step 3: Review country opportunities

Read country/award descriptions (e.g., ETA award for Germany)
Establish a basis for country (e.g., research interest)
Rank your country and award program preferences

Step 4: Review Fulbright’s application components

Step 5: Choose up to two country-specific Fulbright award programs in which to declare your interest. Note: you may ultimately apply to only one country and award type.
