Italian Study Abroad students gave back to the Sorrento community during Summer 2022

The Sant’Anna Institute in Sorrento, Italy hosts the Italian Study Abroad program. The Institute fosters an engagement that goes beyond eco-tourism. In line with the Institute's philosophy, students give back to the community while benefitting from an enriching learning experience. In the summer of 2022, for three weeks, seven students from Texas State University …  

• worked with Il Prossimo e Il Futuro, an organization dedicated to persons with disabilities, 
• assisted as co-cooks and servers in that organization’s Pizza Friday, an event that benefits the families of persons with disabilities as well as the Sorrento community, and, 
• made and exchanged friendship bracelets with the Sorrento community.
