Seeking applicants for a 1 year Visiting Assistant Professor Position in Spanish!

The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish for the academic year 2024-2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a 3-3 course load, and will teach survey courses on Latin American Literature, and advanced language classes including but not limited to Spanish for heritage speakers. This is a one-year appointment.

Required minimum qualifications are: native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English; Ph.D. in Spanish or a related field at the time of employment; and a record of teaching excellence at the university level.

Salary range: $57,225.6-60,000.00
